To clean the Premium Pillow, remove the Blissfoam™ and hand-wash the cotton cover in warm soapy water, using a soft brush to clean the spikes. Rinse and hang to dry in the shade. Once dry, re-insert the Blissfoam™, ready for your next Shakti practice.
Store it out of the sun, as UV rays can cause the color to fade. Keep out of reach of pets and children.

A little, but only in the beginning.
Each spike responds to tension in your body, so more tension = more sensation. The initial “Ouch!” you feel activates your body’s pain response and tells it to send happiness hormones and pain-relief chemicals to the area you’re targeting. If those spikes aren’t sharp enough – or you’re beyond relaxed already – you won’t feel much.
After a few minutes, the tingling sensation fades into a deep, relaxing warmth. The redness is purely a circulation boost. You might even fall asleep.

Was gifted the Acupressue Mat a few years back, didn’t like it - or more appropriately didn’t understand it. Shakti came up on Instagram, how to use it, and now I do understand it. Still feels like torture but I’m now enjoying the torture. So decided to double up my torture and ordered the pillow….. Joy, double the torture - and double the treat, but can happily lay down for an hour and let those little spikes of pain do their magic. Have downloaded the app so will follow the advice given there. Provides good blood circulation in the neck and scalp. After that, I easily have an itchy scalp. Maybe I'm still getting used to it or is the scalp too sensitive? If it doesn't improve, I put a towel in between or buy myself the elongated neck pillow so that the scalp does not come into contact with the needles.
