The external cover of The Shakti Eye Pillow can be cold machine washed simply by removing the clay bead insert prior to washing. Leave the cover to hang dry out of direct sunlight. If the insert requires cleaning, gently hand wash it in soapy water before leaving it to air dry flat.

Unlike other eye pillows this one really blocks light for ultimate relaxation. It has a nice heft and its sewn sections keep it hugging your face. I flip it halfway through my Shakti sessions so the cool side is always on my eyes.

I love this company, and I love this product. I've had my weighted eye pillow for 2.5 years, and I loved it so much that I bought a tiny fridge to keep next to my bed to keep it cold. It was perfectly balanced and heavy and felt amazing when I went to sleep. Over time the pockets seemed to have worn out on the inside and the balance in the middle sections didn't cover my eyes right. Plus the clay beads started to leak. So I gladly ordered another pillow (and a spare for good measure) I didn't even think about the fact that these guys have a 5 year warranty.
Neither of the new ones felt right. The eye sections just didn't feel heavy enough and it didn't have enough weight distribution on them either.
So I got out my scale and weighed the old one, and both of the new ones...
Both of the new ones weigh 264 and 263.5 grams...
The old one...(which has had some beads leak out mind you) weighs 385.5 grams over 120 grams more considering some had leaked out.
Please consider either going back to what this product used to be OR at a minimum offering a different level, in reading your reviews here there is a market here for a heavier pillow, and you used to have it. Thankfully I bought two, so I can sleep with both at the same time, which feels silly.
